What Are They Saying

The words sometimes
Stop flowing through
As the scrambled letters
Create words that maybe
Mean something on another planet...
But looking around here sometimes...
I pray that it all makes sense
Because the letters
Making words in today's times
Are being used in ways
that I never imagined...
Children are speaking
Based on lyrics sung
That cause the sun
To never want to rise again
While the stars find comfort
In the waves of the sea...
Covering the magic
From twinkling upon our eyes...
Days before in the past
Words sung through lyrics in riddles
Nowadays bluntly prancing
On the minds of those
Whom should be singing
"This old man,  he played one..."
Instead of "homey got a gun"
Or "@%#!* needs to #$@! All the $#@!*"
Even the clean versions
Beep off the middle but allowing
The sound of the "mu- - -beep:
Catching my drift
So let's lift our heads
And switch the station
To this generation poor illustration
of what lyrics are
Along with music
And pray that letters create change
To prevent this loss of today's minds
To find hope in the rising of the sun
And peace with the moonlight
As the stars twinkle, twinkle.
